About me
Cynthia Burrow owns Strategic Education Solutions (SES). SES creates learning programs, does research, and evaluates projects that support people with IDD. Her projects, funded by the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities, include The Virtual Job Coach for career planning, Seen and Heard: IDD Community to prevent sexual assault, training for peer support specialists, and more. Cynthia also started the Self-Advocate Network, a program that teaches people with IDD work on projects about their lives. It connects them with researchers who seek their lived expertise. Cynthia has spoken at SXSW Edu, The Arc of the US annual conference, the National Adult Protective Services Association annual conference, Reinventing Quality, and more. Her work is inspired by a vision of inclusion and opportunity for her son, who has autism.
